Carey Baptist Grammar school in Boroondara council Kew lacks a crossing on the East side which makes it difficult and dangerous for school children to cross coming from McCartney avenue and going to school which happens to be drop of zone. Many learner and P plate drivers also park in that area.
Everyday it seems that accidents are waiting to happen as during the morning rush hours the cars are driving dangerously. If not supervised it could lead to a major accident some day.
We would request the Boroondara council to provide a crossing supervisor at the intersection of Daniell Pl and McCartney Avenue so that children can safely cross Daniell Pl and avoid cars and lurking dangers.
It seems that accident is waiting to happen and we would like the council to take necessary risk management actions to prevent it.
