Background (Preamble):
As an active promoter of drunk driving prevention, which is a serious problem that kills tens of thousands of people each year, I am outraged that Sheriff Lee Baca completely disregarded a judge's order and let Paris Hilton out of jail after serving only a few days of her sentence.
The special treatment celebrities receive in our legal system is unbelievable and there needs to be some accountability for this. The pattern needs to stop. Please join me in calling for the resignation of Sheriff Lee Baca. He is an elected official and is responsible to uphold the law for us, the people whom pay for his salary with our tax dollars, and has failed miserably to do in this case.
