The youth of Cape Canaveral desire to design and build a skate park in their city. The rationale for this is that the closest skate park is in Cocoa Beach (approximately 5 miles). The youth are unable to easily get to Cocoa Beach to utilize the park.
The city of Cape Canaveral is located on the ocean and the majority of the youth surf and skateboard. Having a skate park in their community will provide them with something to do and keep them busy and out of trouble.
We, the undersigned, support the construction of a skate park in Cape Canaveral to provide the youth of the city with an activity that will keep them physically fit and decrease the chances of them getting into trouble.
