Petition Background (Preamble):
In 2005 I made a big effort to bring the BDO tour up north (around Townsville or Thuringowa) I had made contact with the promoter but never got a reply, I made contact with the Townsville Bulletin but again never got a reply, I even made contact with the Townsville city council and the Thuringowa city council but ...no... no help..
I got in contact with five other promoters to ask for there support and was told that the north doesn't have a large enough population (I had over 150'000 people sign my online petition but my system crashed and I lost the info) but now the Townsville bully is starting to try to get the BDO up here so I am back to help and do my bit again.

Petition:
The people of Northern QLD feel that the promoters of the BDO should bring the tour to the north and not just tour down south, a large number of people are unable to make the long and for some expensive trip to see the BDO due to Work, School, cost of travel etc.
Townsville has seen some bands tour here and so has Thuringowa (Kiss Chasey) but we never see festivals like the BDO, Both Townsville and Thuringowa have venues that can cater to the festival's need (it has been looked into) so we ask that you please consider bringing the BDO to the north.
