Major Australian conventions don't want to book Sons of Anarchy actresses (ie. Drea De Matteo, Maggie Siff, Taryn Manning, Katey Sagal) because they seem to assume the Australian public is only interested in the show's male cast members.
I discovered this upon visiting the US and found out that US conventions are more than happy to arrange for these talented actresses to come to Australia and meet their fans at our pop culture / fan conventions but it seems that our country unfortunately still has some sexist and out-dated views.
The point of this petition is to show these Australian conventions, that it is not in fact the case that the Australian public has no interest in meeting the female cast members of Sons of Anarchy.
The actresses have countless fans, both male and female, who would love to have the opportunity to meet their favourite star of this hit TV show and to assume we are all only interested in male cast members, is sexist and disappointing for this day and age. Let's show them Australia wants the SOA girls, too!
We, the undersigned, want the opportunity to meet the female cast of Sons of Anarchy at Australian conventions, not only those cast members, who are male.
