It's a sad tail for Winston the pub dog.
The greeter and mascot of The Fox in Anderson won't be rubbing up against customer's legs, smiling his big bull dog grin or wiggling his butt inside the English pub in downtown anymore.
John Martin, owner of The Fox in Anderson, stands near his dog Winston, an English bulldog. Health officials said this week that the dog is not allowed inside the restaurant.
State regulations mean Winston will need to keep his small, curly tail outside or upstairs in the apartment he shares with pub owner John Martin.
