Bring back the Wal-Mart Layaway Program

We, the undersigned, require Wal-mart reinstate the layaway program for 2009 and state if Wal-mart will not respond we will continue to take our business elsewhere.
As consumers of a major retail store with locations across this great nation, we are disappointed that Wal-mart has cancelled its layaway program
Many consumers used this useful tool to plan for their families. One benefit was the ability to store gift items for 90 days, helping is to keep big ticket gifts a secret. Consumers benefited from this program year round. We were able to start planning for the new school year in June. We could begin Christmas shopping in September or October. We could get the new married couple a very nice gift for their wedding. If we were expecting, we utilized this program to plan our nursery
Without this wonderful program to utilize, many of us have had to decrease our purchases. Wal-mart was one of the exclusive stores that still provided this service. With such a great benefit, we chose to do more of our shopping with Wal-mart. There was not an adequate explanation of why the program was cancelled.
If the cost was the contributing factor, we would have preferred to see the fee scale adjusted. If consumer cancellations caused us to lose this benefit, we would have preferred an additional fee, such as a restocking fee of 10%. Cancelling this program has put a hardship on many American families.
