Background (Preamble):
Radio Avalon started broadcasting at Glastonbury Festival in 1983
This was the very beginning of Festival Broadcasting, and was the first Small Community Radio Station.
The Organisation has been managed and run by volunteers, and largely self funded all this time. During this time we have provided a useful service to the Festival, the Festival Audience and other Broadcasters around the World.
The Festival recognise the benefit of a Festival station, but not the blend of Festival Radio broadcast and Programming skills that has enabled the Radio Avalon team to provide the “Soundtrack to the Festival” for over twenty years.

We, the undersigned, call on Glastonbury Festival organisers to reinstate the original Radio Avalon management team to provide a radio service at future Glastonbury Festivals.
