We have created this petition to bring Officer Scott Gibbons back as SRO and bring the D.A.R.E. Program back to the Piedmont School System.
Many of you may not know the SRO position has been filled by someone other than Officer Gibbons here recently. We need him back ASAP and for the D.A.R.E program to be back in full force at the schools. With the reassignment of Officer Gibbons, they opted to eliminate the DARE program.
We really need your help as a community to make this happen. Officer Gibbons has always had such a positive influence on the students and is very well respected by not only the students but, the faculty, parents and residents in the Piedmont community. He is definately one of a kind! It's nice to have an officer so caring and giving of his time in our community as he is.
As some of you may or may not know, he just received the 1st Annual Piedmont Unsung Hero award in which was very deserving for him. Way to go Officer Scott Gibbons!
So let's all get together and get as many signatures as we can to present this to the City of Piedmont and Piedmont Police Department. It's time we do what's best for our children. Thank you for your time.
