Boycott the Olympics in a land of Genocide

My shock when I got to know the extent of cruelty and deceit in Chinese Communist Party's persecution of innocents is what leads me to write this.

Thousands are being arrested and hundreds being killed within days or hours of arrest in ' preparation ' for the Beijing Olympics by the CCP. Cases related to persecution of Falun Gong, a peaceful practice for self-cultivation based on truthfulness-compassion-endurance are being documented on http://www.clearwisdom.net. On reading many of the cases I couldn't help but write this. The murder of Yu Zhou is just one of the hundreds of documented cases of murder in police custody since January 2008.

Kind hearted people in China are hoping that everyone will do everything in their power to stop this inhumane persecution, torture and killings. Recently his family has gone 'missing' too.

They kill hundreds of innocent people in Tibet and then announce all deaths happened due to so called ' mobs '. They arrest and torture, sometimes to death, thousands, including child monks in the name of enforcing so called state ' law '. The Panchen Lama has been in CCP's custody since age 6. The persecution of peaceful Falun Gong (see http://www.falundafa.org ) practitioners who believe in Truthfulness, Compassion and Endurance has literally shocked the world . Thousands have been tortured to death for absolutely nothing more than steadfast faith in the principles of Truthfulness - Compassion - Endurance .

Further, the CCP has always used the internet, including online public-editable encyclopedias, and state controlled media to spread mis-information in an attempt to justify its persecution of Tibetans, Practitioners of Falun Gong, followers of Dalai Lama in mainland China, etc. Gao Zhisheng a reputed Human Rights attorney in China, often referred to as 'The Conscience of China' was illegally arrested for speaking out against the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners and his whole family , including three year old child are being continually 'monitored', psychologically tortured and kept under house arrest. In the words of Edward McMillan Scott, a vice president of the European Union ' the civilized world must Shun the olympics in a land of Genocide. '

How can we as people with a good conscience keep silent when innocents are tortured to death? How can we, with a good conscience, support the olympics in a land of genocide? If the civilized world will not even stand up against such atrocities what will we speak out against? I am surprised at the 'neutral' stance taken on the Tibet issue and other issues by many countries. When I think of that, these two quotes come to my mind...

I feel the time has come for us, as individuals, to stand up against such inhumane evil and to boldly act against such atrocities. It becomes even more urgent to do so in the light of the recent upsurge in murder of innocent prisoners of conscience by the CCP. Further, millions of innocent victims are counting on kind-hearted people like us to make a stand for them.

Please do everything in your power to stop such insane killings. The CCP is able to do this only because the world is in a way 'accepting' the insane persecution by not acting strongly against it.
