A German court has ruled that circumcising an infant is a physical assault and has banned circumcision in Germany.

Circumcision is one of the most important practices in the Jewish faith.

Of all of the commandments in Judaism, the brit milah (literally, Covenant of Circumcision) is probably the one most universally observed. It is commonly referred to as a bris. Even the most secular of Jews, who observe no other part of Judaism, almost always observe these laws.

The commandment to circumcise is given at Gen. 17:10-14 and Lev. 12:3. The covenant was originally made with Abraham. It is the first commandment specific to the Jews.

I call on everyone to boycott Germany. Do not buy any products from any German company or any products that are manufactured in Germany! It should not matter whether your religion believes in circumcision. Anyone that supports religious rights/freedoms should be appalled and should speak up!

Ms. Merkel and members of the Bundestag,

We call on you to speak out against the June 26, 2012 court ruling calling circumcising an infant a physical assault and thereby making it illegal in your country.

As you know Germany has a dark past in regards to treatment of Jewish people. This ruling specifically targets people of the Jewish as well the Muslim faith. Due to this ruling, for a German Jew (or Muslim) to practice his or beliefs her or she will either have to leave the country or risk prosecution. In addition, a safe procedure may also become unsafe if driven underground.

We thank you in advance for your actions and are cautiously optimistic that the higher courts will reverse this discriminatory ruling. Regardless, we ask that you pass a law allowing people to be circumcised for religious reasons.
