Petition Background (Preamble):
A 73-year-old was looking for gifts for his two grandsons in an Arizona Barnes and Noble store when he got a rude tap on the shoulder: It seems a female customer told store officials she was "uncomfortable" that a man was in the children's section unaccompanied by any minor.
A Barnes and Noble employee states that "men are not allowed to be in children's section alone".
"I am a single father. Who is Barnes and Noble to imply that every man is a pedophile. What if I were to go buy a book for my son, will I be asked to leave because he is not with me?"
Barnes and Noble needs to be held accountable for their despicable actions. A canned apology is not sufficient punishment for their unreasonable actions.
