Those who ride bicycles around San Marcos and the Texas State University campus should enjoy a safer riding environment.
Students who ride their bicycles to class are taking a high risk of being in an accident since most or our roads don't have a lane designated for bicycles use only. They ride on the road with buses which is very dangerous and with construction going on around town less people are able to have a safe ride.
While the roads are under construction the local government in San Marcos, Texas should take action and invest money on the roads that are being worked on to create more bicycle lanes.
Residents of San Marcos need more bike lanes in order to travel safely around whether it is to go to school or to go run errands.
Students and permanent residents would greatly benefit from these new bicycle lanes.
