Better Animal Care from CASPCA

Petition Background (Preamble):
The Charlottesville Albemarle SPCA is known for taking in a high number of stray animals daily. You may see that they advertise that they are a "no kill" organization and "non profit", but these statements are not all together the truth.
Local SPCA organizations run off of donations whether it is money, food or supplies. Money donations are used for medical care and supplies that animals may need. So being a former employee of the SPCA, people often ask me "what's up with $95 adoption fee for an animal? I thought they were free and accept donations." I believe the adoption fees should not exist or at least be reasonable. After all, animals do not need your money...they need your love. The other issue is the "no kill" law.
Animals with incurable diseases and who are suffering are put down, but what about pregnant female cats who are ready to deliver? No they don't kill her, but they DO kill the kitten fetus in a procedure called a pregnant spay. The cat/kitten population has grown, but ALL animals deserve a chance.

We, the undersigned, ask the humane society to look into the actions of the CASPCA.
No more pregnant spays, free or reasonable adoption fees and better care for the feral cats instead of shutting them up and not socializing them properly. All animals deserve this.
