Background (Preamble):
When you worked, you paid taxes into the social security, then when you become disable, you can apply for the benefits you have earned. Social security benefits are not paid automatically. You must apply for them using special forms. You may also have to provide several documents, including a letter from your doctor, your social security card, and your birth certificate.
Petition:
Do not be surprised if you are denied at the initial stage or 3 times after that. Only about 40% of claims are approved when you first apply. Claimants that are represented by an attorney are much likely to win their claim. Lawyers receive 25%of the back amount which has been set by law. Therefore do you think you should have to get a lawyer to get your disability benefits that you worked so hard for?
