Petition Background (Preamble):
Battery hens spend all of their lives in cages no bigger than this computer screen. They cannot fly or even eat propely as a third of their beak is cut off, to prevent pecking other birds, this leaves the bird in serious pain that lasts weeks even years! Is this fair? No, how would you like to live in a small cage and can barely walk and drink?
