Ban the Ownership of Guns in the City of Toronto

Petition Background (Preamble):
Gun violence has become more prominent in our city of Toronto, with innocent bystanders being caught in the crossfire.
Buying a gun is far too easy, they may be purchased online once having passed a series of tests. Guns do not need to be present in Toronto.
No one should own a gun licensed or not in the City of Toronto.
There is nothing to hunt here but innocent people, and making it harder for individuals to get their hands on such weapons will hopefully prevent incidents of violence such as that which occurred on June 2 2012 at the Toronto Eaton Centre.

We the undersigned, call on the City of Toronto and the Government of Ontario to ban the ownership of guns and the licensing of guns to any resident of the City of Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area.
