When Glenys Richardson arrived in hospital after being mauled by a dog, a staff member told her the wound looked more like a shark had attacked her.
The 67-year-old must wear a large pressure bandage on her thigh for the next two years after the attack by a pair of pitbull-crosses near her home in Otaki in November.
She is still too scared to leave home on foot on her own, and wants to see all pitbulls and pitbull-crosses banned.
This is only one of many inicidents that have occured with Pitbulls, children have been mauled and scared for life with constant thought of terror, mans best friend is getting a bad reputation!
We, the undersigned, call for the New Zealand Government to place a ban on ALL Pitbulls in this country. It is one's civil rights to be able to walk down their own street without having the fear of this breed of dog that only has taste for blood and flesh.
We would also like a review done on other breeds once the Ban of Pitbulls has been implemented. Any owner of a Pitbull who refuses to part with their dog shall then be sentenced to jail as owning a man-eating pet is no different to holding a gun and shooting someone.
