Ban Open Drains

Drains carry rainwater from our streets to our rivers, creeks and bays.
With no warning at all, a drain can become a very dangerous place.
Anyone entering a drain faces the threat of a sudden rise in water levels,
lack of oxygen and the presence of dangerous fumes.
Water levels can rise even in sunny dry conditions
Rainwater falling many kilometres away can flow downstream,
arriving suddenly and unexpectedly
Slow moving flows can quickly become raging torrents.
Warning signs should placed at every possible entry points to drains.
Flash flooding is not the only danger associated with entering a drain.
Poisonous gases and lack of oxygen are unseen but deadly hazards.
They may be present at any time and remain undetected until it is too late.
Drains can be dark, wet and slippery or plainly out in the open.
They may contain steep hidden declines,
making it is easy to slip and fall, and it is also difficult for others to hear
you call for help if you're injured.

It Is The Law For A Pool To Be Fence
This Is Not A Pool Though It Holds Just Enough To Fill A Few Small Pools.
The List Goes On I Would Be Stuck Here If I Went So I am Asking Please
Help Me Fight This I Do Not Ever Want This To Happen To Another Human Being
Of Any Age No Life Deserves This To Happen.
Even Down The Road From Me Children Are Waiting For Their School Bus Right
Next To Open Hazards Drains And there Is No Protection Or Anything Of The Sort
To Make Sure They Do Not Slip,Fall Or Jump Over These Drains.
Children Are Children They Live In The Rush Of Now Even more When They Are
With Their Mates.
They Do Not See What We Can See So It Is Up To Us As An Adult, A Parent,
An Individual To Help Prevent Danger From Our Innocent.
Its The Law For A Pool To Be Fenced A Massive Fine Is Involved Otherwise.
So I Do Not Understand Why It Is Not The Law If Any Amounts Of Water That
Makes Drains Of All Sizes That Is In The Midst Of Public It Should Be Grated,
Fenced And Have Bright Signs Of Warnings And The Dangers At Children And Adult
Level Height.
So There Is No Excuse Of Death Or A Traumatic Event To Another Living Being.
So Please Help Me Ban This And Make It A Law.
"Ban Open Drains That Is A Hazardous In Public View. And Enforce Jail And A Hefty Fine
For Risking Death On Another Life."

I Personally Believe Grates/Protection of some sort Should Be Placed All Over The Dangered Areas.
