Nestle Milo is our of our go-to breakfast drink in Malaysia, especially for kids. They claims that Milo can give energy and a healthy drink. But do you know that 3 teaspoon of Milo is roughly 9 grams of sugar? Yes. So most of Malaysian parents been serving this drink to their children every morning before they go to school.

Milo also contains maltodextrin. Maltodextrin is a polysaccharide that is used as a food additive. Maltodextrin is easily digestible, being absorbed as rapidly as glucose and may be either moderately sweet or almost flavorless. But it has the side effects. Side effects may include allergic reactions, weight gain, gas, flatulence, and bloating.
