Electroconvulsive Therapy was used as a means of control and torture in Germany During World War II.

A review of ECT published in 1992 found that ECT is in fact more dangerous despite the recent modifications.

We, the undersigned, call on the Health Department of Victoria and the Prime Minister of Australia to ban the use of Electroconvulsive Therapy for all inpatients and outpatients of psychiatric facilities and hospitals.

This Electronconvulsive Therapy is a form of abuse and it is documented that people have still committed suicide after it.

It is also not made clear to patients the side effects of ECT or their rights to not have it.

The Ban all Electroconvulsive Therapy in Australia petition to Mental health patients was written by Jenny Brain and is in the category Human Rights at GoPetition.
