ADFAN Puerto Rico's main mission is to provide by means of their services social justice to our families and children.
For years there have been endless stories about flaws in this agency's operations, which have especially led to children's detriment. Among these stories we have Yerisel Rivera, a 4-month old baby girl (2 years old as of today) which was taken from her foster home, where Mrs. Delis Sanchez and her husband, Mr. Jose L. Correa, provided excellent care and love, along with their family to this baby.
Upon removal from their home, the baby was placed for 21 months in a shelter, where living with more than a dozen more children, not only were here rights bypassed, but she was also deprived from the quality services care and love the Correa-Sanchez's were providing her. This family, it must be pointed were also certified as a pre-adoptive home prior to the baby's removal, and have been ever since, fighting to get the baby back, now as an adoptive daughter.
We, the undersigned, having witnessed the fight the Correa-Sanchez have waged in order to get Yerisel back, and understanding there have been serious irregularities in the process that go against these people's genuine interest for this baby's rights and well-being, call on the Administration for Children and Families, Region II Office, asking for a full audit on ADFAN Puerto Rico's Foster Care and Adoption Programs.

Nosotros, los abajo firmantes, habiendo sido testigos de la lucha que los Correa –Sanchez han librado para recuperar a Yerisel, y entendiendo ha habido serias irregularidades en el proceso, que atentan contra el genuino interés de esta gente por el bienestar de la bebé, reclamamos a la Administración de Families y Niños, Oficina de la Región II, que lleve a cabo una auditoría completa a los programas de Cuidado Sustituto y Adopciones de ADFAN Puerto Rico.
