A petition in light of the recent death threats made by the Attorney General of Guyana, Anil Nandlall which was revealed in a phone conversation with a senior reporter attached to the Kaieteur News.

The general public (majority) have no confidence in him as Attorney General, and have since been registering their dissatisfaction with President Donald Ramotar for not sacking Nandlall.

We, concerned Guyanese, call on President Donald Ramotar to immediately sack Attorney General, Anil Nandlall.

A nation cannot under any circumstances tolerate government functionaries issuing death threats to reporters or citizens.

It is therefore the responsibility of the Head of State to ensure that citizens constitutional rights are protected, and journalists are able to work in an environment free of terroristic threats.

President Ramotar needs to do the appropriate thing in order to ensure that decency, impartiality, professionalism and respect are restored to the Attorney General's office. And, there's only one choice: Sack, or ask the current disgraced Attorney General to resign.
