Recently on the Graham Norton Show, several pieces of Sherlock inspired fan art were shown. For obvious reasons the artists were not credited on the show, but it is unknown whether all of the artists were asked permission for their art to be used.
If no permission was granted then any artist affected deserves an apology. It also seems that Mr Norton may have been making fun of these pieces of art because of their nature. Although they were not intended to offend, some people feel that the jokes took on a homophobic nature due to the artworks being displayed. This is in no way implying that Mr Norton or parties involved would knowingly make homophobic comments.
We believe that Mr Norton or parties responsible should issue an apology, even though no offence was meant it has still affected people badly. This is in no way a personal attack on Mr Norton or anyone else from the show.
We the undersigned believe that Mr Norton or parties involved should apologise to any artist whose permission was not asked to show their fan art on 'The Graham Norton Show'. And to also apologise to anyone who took offense to the comments being made about the artwork.
