ON TUESDAY SEPT. 8TH 2015 AT 4PM, IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS LOCATED AT 109 E. OLIVE THE BLOOMINGTON LIQUOR COMMISSION WILL CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE APPLICATION OF MBBSINC. D/B/A BLOOMINGTON FOOD MART, LOCATED AT 807 S MAIN ST. REQUESTING A GPBS LIQUOR LICENSE WHICH WOULD ALLOW THE SALE OF PACKAGED BEER AND WINE.
A certain individual in this area is dead set on doing what he can to prevent this from happening. He believes this license is going to ruin his yard, house, neighborhood and life. I believe that this is a huge overreaction. I would rather allow the Citgo to have the license.
We the neighbors and community request a YES vote on granting a liquor license to Citgo D/B/A Bloomington Food Mart at 807 S Main Street Bloomington IL.
We look forward to increase sales tax collected and the addition to the free market for consumers to choose where to purchase their packaged beer and wine to be taken home and consumed off this property.
Let the consumers decide whether it will be a success. Let grown individuals prove they can responsibly purchase the packaged beer and wine and go home to consume. The opponent to this license is so overbearing about it that I felt the need to show support for the liquor license because people are too quick to blindly do what vocal individuals tell them to do.
