Allow All New York State Schools to Only Use "Wake Up To Awareness" as Their Drug Prevention Programs

Due to the four consecutive deaths due to drug overdose that took place in my home town of East Meadow, I began to research this issue as a whole. Not only were the statistics depressing enough, the percentage of increase for future predictions was outrageous.
NIDA as of March 2012 reported that 7.4% of children ages 12-17 used precription medications for non medical usage. There has also been a 90% increase in deaths due to poisonings in children ages 15-19 according to The Center for Disease Control and Prevention from 2000 to 2009.
Clearly New York State students aren't taking our current drug awareness programs seriously. "Wake Up to Awareness" has a solution to this.
Sign this petition and put an end to this epidemic, spread awareness, and save thousands of life.
We need to spread this awareness from our students, to our congress men and women. If these nation wide deaths aren't a wake up call, then let this petition be.
