Petition Background (Preamble):
On 7/12/11 Sam Risoli sent a letter to each UA FA via Skynet webmail saying CAL will begin hiring and the Cross-Over Program is NOT going to happen. He also stated that UAL will be 1800 flight attendants over-staffed. AFA's inability to have a honest, non-biased survey and to be able to negotiate with the company may very well lead to a furlough.
The focus of this petition has now changed to expressing our anger that AFA has made this decison for us.

Petition:
We, the undersigned, take issue with the fact that the Cross-Over Program was not put to a membership vote. We demand that AFA guarantee that no furloughs will result from this action, and if they do, MEC president, Greg Davidowitch will resign.
