ADAMAWA STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY TO PARDON AND RECALL HON. ABDULRAHMAN ABUBAKAR HAVING APOLOGISED SO THAT HIS CONSTITUENCY IN MUBI WILL BE REPRESENTED IN THE HOUSE.
Alhaji Abdulrahman Abubakar (APC-Mubi South), was suspended by the Adamawa State House of Assembly three months which suspension had elapsed in February 2016. The Hon. Member, was suspended for alleged improper dressing and for criticising the house’s approval of virement for the executive in 2015 budget.
Abubakar had apologised by saying "I, hereby, wish to formally tender my apology to the Speaker, Mr Kabiru Mijinyawa, leadership and entire hounourable members of Adamawa State House of Assembly."
Till today, the assembly is yet to lift the suspension and his people are by implication unrepresented in the house thereby eroding their right to a representative.
We, the undersigned, call on the Honorable Speaker and the entire membership of the Adamawa State House of Assembly to as a matter of urgency lift the suspension in the interest of constituents of Mubi-South.
