The Prince of Wales (PoW) pub located in Kingsthorpe has often caused trouble in the area and the permanent closure will add to the local community.
The PoW has recently had is licence revoked due to its complete disregard for licensing laws and the local community. Often the PoW is open late into the night and causes disturbances that require the Police to attend.
The article below details what the findings were of the Police when they attended. This was four times in the space of 8 moths and each time they were found to be in breach of the licensing Law.
Further to this there is no regard for fire safety at the PoW with the fire extinguishers without service since 2008 and fire escape doors that are locked.
