Target:
Stormont Assembly
Region:
Northern Ireland

The P6 children of Northern Ireland deserve to know as soon as possible how they will transfer to post primary school next year.

The parties in the NI Assembly need to realise that these children will only get one chance to go through the system and they deserve much better treatment than they have received to date. These are individual children, with hopes and dreams just like you once had so please get over your petty differences and arrive at a solution that we can all live with.

We the undersigned call on the Northern Ireland Assembly to renew their efforts to reach agreement over the future of Academic Selection.

We realise that this is a difficult issue for some in the assembly, but our children need to know what will be expected of them in their P7 year, which is less than a year away.

The current impasse is unforgivable and we call on you reach agreement and publish appropriate guidelines now.
