Background (Preamble):

Western Sydney is long overdue for a second campus of the NSW art gallery.. the redevelopment of the old Parramatta gaol is the perfect location ..Its heritage , its secure, its close to transport and ITS CLOSING.. it will promote investment in the area, it will bring tourism and education in the arts and would cost only a fraction of a purpose build.. something we would have to wait decades for.. it's time big art came to the west ..

Petition:

We the undersigned would like the NSW government to take advantage of the pending closure of the Parramatta gaol and take positive steps to secure it as the new second campus of the NSW art gallery.
