In 2012, the WHO declared the emissions of diesel vehicles a carcinogen, and about as dangerous as asbestos.
Diesel exhaust is a class 1 carcinogen apart from all the empirically established links to pulmonary and cardiac outcomes and slowly increasing evidence base for diabetes, birth and cognitive defects.
Let’s make a difference and say no to the purchasing of new diesel cars in our very own community. Look for alternates like Hybrid, CNG and or Electric Cars.
If diesel car sales go down, the automobile industry will be forced to provide alternate fuel cars to boost their sales.
Let’s drive change by pledging, no more diesel cars! Let’s be the community that leads the way! Without a doubt, Diesel is a killer and can be tackled right away!
We, the undersigned, call on the Indian Automobile Industry to provide more options in alternate fuel cars.
We further request the supreme court of India to lift the duty on Hybrid and electric cars.
