Let's face it, DJs have it easy. Show up with a bag of records, beat the crap out of the sound systems, get paid orders of magnitude beyond their actual worth, call it a night.
Time to level the playing field. DJs always demanding "respect" as legitimate musicians? Start bringing your own gear, simple as that.
We, the various owners of night clubs worldwide, are uniting in requesting that all DJs henceforth provide all of their own equipment, including but not limited to, turntables, cd players, dj mixers, needles, slipmats, and all necessary cabling for gigs.
All gigs are to require contracts, noting specific time slots for each DJ, and transferring liability for the night club's sound system over to said DJ for the duration of his/her set.
