Force holiday companies to tell the truth in their brochures and online.

For years now we have put up with holidays not living up to what was promised in the brochure, or on the website of the company you bought your holiday from. We treat these companies like estate agents and expect them to lie and mis-sell their holidays. It’s time ABTA and the government got tough with these multi-national corporations and made their advertisements reflect the reality of the holiday you will get for your money.

Have you ever got to your resort and found the room you got looked nothing like the one in the brochure? Or the four swimming pools they promised were in reality only 2? Food and drink not quite the gourmet experience the website led you to believe? Well you’re not alone, a quick internet search will throw up thousands of complaint letters, internet forums and disgruntled bloggers all saying the same thing – “we didn’t get what they promised”, and when those people did complain they got treated very poorly.

If this petition can get enough support we can show ABTA and the government that we won’t stand for these lies anymore. We can affect changes to the way holidays are advertised and we can make the holiday companies sit up and listen to a group of people instead of walking all over single complaints they way they do at present.

If enough of us make public our anger at the way these companies act they will see it as potential loss of profits, and nothing galvanises action quite like the threat of falling shareholder dividends.
