The Shoemaker Pub has been a sore point within our community for a long time.

In 2008, Norwich City Council granted planning permission for the site to be converted to flats and housing - providing much needed homes.

Since the planning permission was approved, there has been little or no movement, but historic activities of fly-tipping, littering, graffiti and criminal damage have continued.

We, the undersigned, call upon Norwich City Council to:

* Serve notice on the current owners of the Shoemaker Pub to clean up the site, removing the rubbish and debris that is there;

* Call upon the owners to do all they can to advance plans to replace this derelict building with housing or other buildings of use to our community.
