UPDATE: Although the Highland Council on 10th February deferred the decision on cutting Classroom Assistants while they carry out a review of the post, there is no guarantee that these cuts will not be made before August 2011 therefore it is important that the campaign is continued.
This petition is to show the strength of feeling amongst parents about this abhorrent proposal.
Highland Council is proposing to axe all 350 Classroom Assistant posts from primary schools in the Highlands.
We believe this will have an extremely detrimental effect on the education of children in our community.
We the undersigned, are urging all our Councillors to vote against this proposal.
