The London Borough of Barnet have sent letters to their Lollipop patrols stating that their jobs might be cut at the end of March this year 2011. This would mean NO Lollipop Patrol outside school in the morning or at home time! We think this is a terrible mistake and puts the safety of the children and community at risk.

Frith Manor School and Dollis Junior School are currently trying to save their Lolliop patrols at Lullington Garth and Pursley Road respectively - both busy roads - Eight other schools in Barnet are also affected so this is a community wide petition. Please sign this as it is really important we don't lose these Lollipop Patrols - they are essential for our children's and community wide safety. Please sign and forward this link to all you know within the community in Barnet to support.

We are seeking to have as many signatures as possible.

We the undersigned believe that having a Lollipop Patrol at Frith Manor School(Lullington Garth N12 7BN) and Dollis Junior School(Pursley Road, Mill Hill NW7) keeps the children safe in the morning and at home time on the busy, fast and dangerous Lullington Garth and Pursley Road.

We also support any other school in Barnet facing this issue. We urge Barnet Council to rethink and re-instate this vital service to our schools and neighbourhood. Save our Lollipop Patrol and STOP this madness.
