Petition Background (Preamble):
Lonsdale Cinema sadly recieved the news on the 5/1/2011 that they have been given 8 weeks notice to leave the premises.
Penrith is a lovely town with a great community spirit and one of the things that set it apart is its originality; that is it is filled with small, independent businesses, of which the cinema is a longstanding member.
If this business is forced out to make way for something such as a Pub Co, this will have a detrimental effect on the town.

Petition:
We, the undersigned, call on both Graves Cumberland and Eden District Council to refuse any application to change the use of the Cinema and Bingo Hall in Penrith.
