We the members of The Lord's Missionary Baptist Church would like to submit to the City of Dallas, Dallas County residents, Dallas County Officials and all interested parties a petition renaming Bexar Street to Rev. Carlton Garrett.
Pastor Garrett is the organizer and visionary Pastor for 38 years now of The Lord's Missionary Baptist Church located at 6722 Bexar St., Dallas, Texas 75215. He is and has been married to Johnnie Mae Garrett for 61 years. Pastor Garrett is known throughout the South Dallas Community and surrounding area.
Pastor Carlton Garrett is highly respected and regarded as man of God, father, friend and citizen for the South Dallas Community.
We are asking you our fellow neighbors and friends to sign this petition to rename Bexar Street to Rev. Carlton Garrett.
We would like for Rev. Carlton Garrett to be noted as one who has continued to help and support this community in all areas of family needs. Wheras Pastor Garrett has opened the doors of The Lord's Missionary Baptist Church to many who have trusted him to bury their loved-ones. Pastor Garrett has given of his time and support to the sick in the communties to those whose families have come to him without reservation.
He has assisted those who needed community service hours, he as assisted those who were in need of helping-hands ministry for food, clothing and shelter. Wheras Pastor Garrett for years has kept open the doors of The Lord's Missionary Baptist Church to any and all who stepped foot inside the sanctuary for prayer and restoration of their lives. Wheras we the members of The Lord's Missionary approve and support the renaming of Bexar Street to Rev. Carlton Garrett.
We would like for this petition to be signed, noted and accepted for the City of Dallas, Dallas County and it's official staff without controversy or any present disputes.
