The NYC Dept. of Homeless Services (DHS) is looking for individuals and not-for-profit organizations that will help the city address the problems of its chronically homeless population.

One option is to develop and operate a Safe Haven, a facility that will provide mental health services and social services that lead to lifestyle changes and independent living in more conventional environments.

We, the undersigned, support The members of the HOMESTEAD coalition in an effort to end the problems that the chronically homeless population face in our community.

HOMESTEAD will provide chronically street homeless clients referred by city outreach teams a safe place to sleep, while improving their baseline standard of living and provide assistance with finding permanent in-door housing.
