The Argus is asking our readers to get behind a major campaign to save Newport's Passport Office.
We say the cuts the government has to impose should be fairly spread across the UK - not targeted at Wales, leaving us with 300 job losses and the only home country not to have a Passport Office.
WE call on the Home Secretary to abandon the proposal to close Wales' only passport office in Newport thereby preventing the loss of 300 jobs in an area already badly hit by the recession.
