Promised funding for a new youth centre, playground and all-weather football pitch on Lowfield Park has been put on hold by the coalition government. We have written to the government minister and are collecting a petition to ask for the promise to be honoured.
Recent council cuts to youth services make campaigns like this more important. Young people with nothing to do and nowhere to go can cause anti-social behaviour. This project would help them to find positive activities in a safer environment.
We the undersigned believe the Lowfield Project would be of real benefit to the area and its residents. We call on the coalition government to release the funding promised to the Project.
