Lady Gaga used her huge global fan base and resulting public influence to reach out to the United States government yesterday about an issue close to hear heart.

The 24-year-old singer, who on Sunday swept the board at the MTV Video Music Awards taking home eight gongs, recorded a video which she posted on her Twitter asking for the abolition of the 'Don't ask, Don't tell' legislation which forces gay and lesbian servicemen and women to live in secrecy or risk being discharged.

Britain should also back the famous singer in the fight for the abolishment in the Don't Ask Don't Tell Law! Homosexuals and Lesbians should be able to protect and serve their country in honour without being discriminated againt for thier sexual preferences.

If you feel that the US Senate should allow all servicemen and Servicewoman of Gay & Lesbian orientation to openly complete their training and jobs while serving and protecting the country, then please sign this petition.

Current policy is Discriminatory and should have a stop put to it!
