Marina del Rey, CA is the largest man-made marina in the world, but has no community boathouse for the several local boating organizations. These include, RowLA, LA Rowing Club (LARC), The Outrigger Canoe Club, United Marina Rowing Association, and others.
Plans have been approved for the Burton Chace Boathouse and we seek the funding for the building to begin. In the interim, we request a temporary facility.
We, the undersigned, request that Beaches and Harbors, County of Los Angeles, under the auspices of Don Knabe, take action to fund and build the approved Boathouse at Burton Chace Park.
In the interim, we ask that a temporary facility be made available adjacent to Mothers' Beach.
