The Mercado San Agustín (MSA) will be Tucson's first public market. The MSA will be part of the city's Rio Nuevo project, which will include diverse housing, commercial spaces, museums, and parks; all of which provide the essential base for an integrated and authentic city center.
Located in a neighborhood rich in history and culture the MSA and Menlo Park will soon become part of Downtown Tucson's core. The proposed MSA's Neon Sign will honor Tucson's history of Neon.
Congress Street will become flanked by the iconic Hotel Congress neon and the Westsides new iconic Mercado San Agustin's sign.
We, the undersigned, approve of the Mercado San Agustin's application for a variance to the Tucson Sign Code allowing for the Mercado San Agustin's Neon Sign to be installed on top of the roof top of the Mercado San Agustin.
