We, the students of Washington State University Vancouver, WA, have created this petition to reach out to faculty, students, and citizens within and outside the United States in order to alert you to the egregious decision to deny tenure to one of our most valuable teachers, Dr. Pavithra Narayanan.
Dr. Narayanan's candidacy received an overwhelming support from her colleagues and all of the committees and external reviewers involved, only to be rejected by the new WSU Dean of Faculty.
Dr. Narayanan has received enormous support from her colleagues and students who are demanding that the unjust decision be overturned and that Dr. Narayanan be granted tenure immediately. You can find more information about the case at www.tenureforp.com.

We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens, students, and educators, seeking to overturn the judgment against granting Dr. Pavithra Narayanan tenure at Washington State University.
Dr. Narayanan's immense contributions as an educator, researcher, writer, and documentary filmmaker augment the diverse nature of faculty at the university, as well as supporting and preparing students for the global community.
Dr. Narayanan needs to be granted tenure in order to preserve the diversity and integrity of Washington State University.
