The Allen County Board of Commissioners voted 2-0 that Harlan, IN not become a town. Both Linda Bloom and Nelson Peters voted against the proposal for town status while Bill Brown was not in attendance for the ruling.
Two of six criteria were not met. That is a little more than one out of three criterium failing. That is close enough to proceed with town status.
We, the undersigned call on the Allen County Board of Commissioners to grant the unincorporated area of Harlan, IN be reconsidered for its status as a town.
