Message to the president of the USA

From a group of academics, writers, journalists and political activists inside the country,

Hon. Barack Obama,
President of the United States of America

As you are well aware of the social movement and the brutal reactions of the fascist regime of Iran, the world opinion has very well noticed the legitimate demands of the Iranian people to free them from the grip of religious fascism. Obviously you have also come to the conclusion that the policy of "critical dialogue" with a regime that turns peaceful demonstrations by the Iranian people into heinous bloodshed is wasting time. So you decided to change your foreign policy and to support the people of Iran. According to the news and analysis in the "Wall Street journal", "Washington Times" and "Los Angeles Times" you are considering more economic sanctions but you are hesitating because of the negative effects that it may have on the people. This is the reason that you have decided to have sanction on revolutionary guards and its related institutes.

We support this policy and we believe that removing PMOI from the US state department black list is the most accessible solution for the US foreign policy towards Iran.

This has two messages for the Iranian people. Firstly, it says that your government is not sacrificing the Iranian opposition group for the economic interests and will not put restrictions on the opposition groups and in the other hand, this decision does not have any negative impact on the Iranian people's welfare. Bearing in mind that PMOI has been in the forefront of the struggle against fundamentalism and dedicated thousands martyrs in this path.

Mr. Obama

We as a group of academics, writers, journalists and political activists inside Iran, according to what was mentioned, believe that removing the PMOI from the U.S. State Department, terrorist list is the shortest and the quickest solution to put an end to your hesitations on choosing a right policy towards Iran, and is the quickest path to establish a secular republic based on the separation of the Church and State and abolishing gender, ethnic and religious discriminations.

Mr. Obama,

Ahmad Shamlu, the great contemporary poet of Iran, who let us know the great and most progressive poets of the world, such as Lyngston Hughes in one of his poems says:

"Do not lie that there is no battle between sun and darkness
The sun is not sad because of the darkness
Darkness is not able to fight
He will run away as soon as it sees the shine of the sword
that is enough that you do not support it.

Iranian people are against any foreign intervention and believe that that they are able to overcome the ruling dictators in Iran, and they wish you do not support such a regime by putting pressure and restriction on the most organized opposition group which believes on a secular government based on the separation of the Church and State.

We hope that you remove PMOI from the terrorist list as soon as possible.
