MESSAGE TO RESCUE A DOG SHELTER FROM ROMANIA
I, the undersigned Radu Petre, I have established myself, in 2001, the Association for animal protection, ,,SUFLETE AG“ based in Băiculeşti, village Valea lui Enache (5 km from the city of Curtea de Argeş) Argeş County, Romania. During the period when I am abroad, I have empowered Ms Monica Roşca to take care of ,,SUFLETE AG“ Association. To ensure the functioning of the dog shelter, I have provided the ASSOCIATION with 4,000 square meters of LAND and a shelter for about 150 seats, (do note that we have to arrange 50 cages more, while 100 are inhabited). THESE ARE ALL MY PERSONAL PROPERTY, AND I STATED THAT THE CONSTRUCTION WHERE THE DOGS ARE SHELTERED IS ACCOMPLISHED WITH MY OWN RESOURCES. AT PRESENT WE SHELTER 100 DOGS, WHILE OTHER LOCATIONS PROTECT OTHER 200 DOGS.

AT PRESENT WE SHELTER 100 DOGS, WHILE OTHER LOCATIONS PROTECT OTHER 200 DOGS.
At the shelter the dogs are neutered, dewormed and vaccinated. During all this time we are looking for owners for the dogs in the shelter, and when we trust someone with a dog, we host another.
When we get funds, we will arrange the other 50 cages, and we will populate them with dogs. The food is received from the Foundation “Brigitte Bardot” in France and for the treatments we use our own money. Because of the neglect of the local government, our dog shelter is in danger of being closed, and the 100 dogs kept there to be euthanized!
During the checks carried out at the shelter from Valea lui Enache by the “VETERINARY HEALTH DEPARTMENT” has required us to get an urgent notice of operation for this shelter.
In order to obtain the functioning recommendation we are to fulfill the following: running water supply, sewerage rehabilitation and fence surrounding.
All these cost money. There are not huge amounts of money, but we do not have these necessary funds.
An even more pressing problem is the food we receive from the “Brigitte Bardot” Foundation from France, an organization which, unfortunately, has announced that starting January 1, 2010 cannot provide the food they provided before. We have no medicines to treat the sick dogs. We have no vaccines....
Considering the situation of deep economic crisis that affects Romania, obtaining funds is impossible, so that these unfortunate animals are in danger of getting back on the streets or being euthanized. We are in a desperate situation! Please help us to solve this problem!
