کمپین آزادی ساسان آقایی

Sasan Aghaei, a blogger and journalist, working on newspapers such as "Etemaad", "Etemad Meli", "Tosseeh, "Mardomsalary" and "Farhikhtegan", has been summoned and threatened by the security forces during the past several months. He was arrested by security forces Sunday afternoon in Nov, 22, 2009. They confiscated his personal computer after searching his home.


Being among the 293 journalists, political and social activists who signed complaint letters to great ayatollahs would be the main reason of his arrest. In this letter dated August 23, 2009, 293 journalists and political activists asked urgently for a united reaction regarding the after election unrest issues (attacking the student residences, ordinary people homes and the coup against the people's vote). The letter was written to the authorities in Qom and Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, Mohammad Khatami (pervious president), Mir Hossein Mousavi, Mehdi Karroubi (the opposition leader).


It should be mentioned Sasan Aghaei is one of Evin political prisoners and he only has had one phone call and a family meeting during detention period since last November.


Since the possibility of such arrest before the detention, Sasan wrote a public letter, over parts of it reading:


"Those who know me, know that I have not done any other job except be a journalist in this country. I am glad to say that my pen has been used, and only used, to serve this country and people who live here and has been always an advocator and supporter of ‘human rights’ and not and not those in power or in control. It’s good to add that my only negligible income in this country has come from the salary paid by newspapers inside Iran and I have not received even a penny from the international media, internet sites, radio and television outside of Iran. Like many others I may be arrested on the unjust charge of ‘acting against national security’. They may try to break me by putting me under pressure but I believe that I have never ever done nothing against national security of my country “. Charges of " cooperation with foreign media," were outrageous because the security forces didn’t find even a satellite receiver in my home after searching everywhere”

دوست عزیز؛
ساسان آقایی وبلاگ نویس ، روزنامه‌نگار و از هم کاران روزنامه‌های «اعتماد»، «اعتماد ملی»، «توسعه»، «مردم‌سالاری» و «فرهیختگان» که در طول ماه‌های گذشته بارها از طرف ماموران امنیتی تهدید و احضار شده بود، ظهر یکشنبه یکم آذر بازداشت شد. ماموران اطلاعات پس از تفتیش خانه او ، وسائل شخصی و کیس کامپیوتر وی را همراه خود بردند.


امضای نامه 293 نفر از روزنامه نگاران و فعالان سیاسی و اجتماعی به مراجع تقلید می تواند علت اصلی این دستگیری بوده باشد.
روز اول شهریور دویست و نود و سه روزنامه نگار و فعال سیاسی ایران، با نوشتن نامه ای به مراجع تقلید و شخصیت های سیاسی، از آنها خواستند که در مورد مسائل اخیر و موضوع ناآرامی های بعد از انتخابات ، یورش به خوابگاههای دانشجویی و خانه های مردم و همچنین کودتا علیه رای مردم ، به شکل متحد واکنش نشان دهند. این نامه خطاب به مراجع تقلید در قم و اکبر هاشمی رفسنجانی، محمد خاتمی، میرحسین موسوی و مهدی کروبی نوشته شده بود.


لازم به ذکر است ساسان آقایی هم اکنون در بند عمومی‌ زندان اوین بسر می برد و تا کنون تنها یک تماس تلفنی و یک ملاقات با خانواده‌اش داشته است .


او از آنجایی که احتمال چنین بازداشتی را می داد قبل از دستگیری نامه سر گشاده‌ای نوشت که قسمت هایی از آن را می خوانید :
" کسانی که مرا می‌شناسند، می‌دانند که جز روزنامه‌نگاری در اين سرزمين هيچ شغل ديگری نداشته‌ام ؛
خرسندم که قلم من تنها و تنها در راه خدمت به اين ملک و مردمانش چرخيده و همآره مدافع و پشتيبان «حقوق بشر» و نه «حقوق مهتر» بوده است؛
لازم است بدانيد که تنها محل درآمد من تا به امروز دستمزد ناچيز روزنامه‌‌های داخل کشور بود و حتا يک شاهی پول سياه هم از رسانه‌های اينترنتی و سايت‌ها و راديوها و تلويزيون‌های خارج از کشور دريافت نکرده‌ام.
شايد من را چونان بسياری ديگر با اتهام کلی و مخدوش «اقدام عليه امنيت ملی» بازداشت و بکوشند زير فشار خرد کنند اما باور دارم و ايمان که هيچ‌گاه و در هيچ زمانی حتا يک گام کوچک عليه امنيت ملی کشورم برنداشته‌ام ؛
اتهام احتمالی «ارتباط با رسانه‌های بيگانه»‌ی بنده نيز چنان دارای بنيانی قوی و راستين است که برادران هر چه گشتند، آثاری از گيرنده‌ی ماهواره‌ای نيافتند! ؛ "
